Two Rivers Platinum Mine, a joint venture between African Rainbow Minerals (ARM) and Impala Platinum, is offering a career opportunity for an Operations Controller at its operation near Burgersfort, Limpopo. This role is vital for supporting and delivering quality work output within the mine’s operation activities.

Purpose of the Job

The primary goal of the Operations Controller is to support and deliver quality work output within operation activities while strictly adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and legislation. The incumbent will report directly to the Instrumentation Technician.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this application, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of MS Office applications and Delta. SCADA proficiency is essential, and a Trade Test will be advantageous.
• Experience: Previous experience in a control room and/or mechanised mining operations is highly advantageous.
• Requirements: Candidates must be computer literate and willing to work CONOPS (Continuous Operations).
• Competencies: Accuracy in reporting, emergency preparedness knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong report writing abilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Effectively coordinate and communicate all underground and surface ore flow.
• Ensure accurate operations reports and effectively communicate all break downs.
• Coordinate and communicate all accidents and incidents within the area of responsibility.
• Manage the TRP key control procedure.
• Ensure booking off/on of equipment breakdowns and downtime on Delta, ensuring proper handover.
• Enforce all relevant procedures and support general operations control within TRP.
