Requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics (NQF7).
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an Agricultural Economics environment.
• Knowledge of market linkage programs, international trade agreements, and food safety standards.
• Familiarity with the Customs and Excise Act, BBBEE Act, and Marketing of Agricultural Products Act.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.

Duties:

• Render Market linkage programs and investigate market requirements for historically disadvantaged individuals (HDIs).
• Promote compliance with food safety standards (SA-GAP, Global-GAP, etc.).
• Administer market access import and export quotas and issue rebate permits.
• Monitor permit utilization and ensure compliance with permit conditions.
• Manage awareness campaigns on BEE sector codes for departmental beneficiaries.
